EVN Macedonia donated 13 perfusors and infusion pumps for the intensive care unit at the City Hospital University Clinic for Surgical Diseases "St. Naum Ohridski” from Skopje. This medical equipment is used for proper and precise dosing of drugs in patients in intensive care. In the modern way of treatment, these are the necessary devices that will contribute to more successful treatment of more patients. EVN allocated funds in the value of 10 000 euros for the procurement of the perfusors.
„We are especially grateful to EVN for realizing such donation at the time of the current corona virus situation when our clinic in addition to its patients, takes over all patients who need to be treated surgically from other centers where those infected with the virus are treated. These perfusors precisely, are the ones needed for adequate treatment of patients in the intensive care unit in our hospital.“, stated the clinic director, d-r Ljuben Arsenkov.
During the last six months, EVN has supported several projects and initiatives of the country's healthcare system. Besides the donation for the City Hospital, EVN also donated 200,000 euros to the Ministry of Health for managing of the corona virus. By donating 10 000 euros, EVN carried out the electricity connection of the new mobile hospital. The company also allocated 60 000 euros for air purifiers and respiratory machines for newborns.
