Need advice on how to save energy in your home or business? Choosing the right technology and reasonable use of appliances can make a real difference in your electricity invoice!

Cooking and food

Whenever you can, cook more meals at once for the whole family. This way, you will save electricity and cooking will not take too much of your time.

Cooking and food

In order to avoid losing heat, always use cookware of an appropriate size to the size of your stovetop.

Cooking and food

Cover your cookware with lids in order to trap the heat and to cut down the cooking time.

Cooking and food

Defrost your food before turning your stove on.

Cooking and food

Use steam pots for any meals requiring long cooking time. Moreover, dark metallic forms speed up the cooking process, while clay pots slow it down.

When cooking your food, do not open the oven door unnecessarily. Every time you open your oven, the oven temperature drops by 25°C. Turn off the stove 10 minutes before the end of cooking time.

Cooking and food

If the cooking process does not necessarily ask for an electric stove, use your microwave oven to prepare or heat up your meals. In this way, you will cut down electricity consumption and speed up the cooking process of some meals.

In this manner, you will decrease the consumption of energy required to heat up your home or office.

Lighting
